Transit-time
Ultrasonic: Sono-Trak™
EMCO's Sono-Trak™
combines advanced non-invasive flow measurement technology
with a versatile transmitter design to provide an accurate,
maintenance free, easy-to-install, and easy to use measuring
system. The Sono-Trak measures liquids for pipe sizes
from 2 to 100 inches.
Reliable
and Rugged:
- High accuracy: กำ0.5%
of rate (factory tested); กำ2.0% of rate (typical field
installation); กำ0.1% of rate repeatability
- Time domain expansion
technology improves signal processing and dramatically
increases resolution
- With no moving parts
to wear over time, flowmeter maintenance is non-existent
- Rugged, NEMA 6-rates
transducers are fully submersible
No pressure drop
- FM and CSA approvals
(pending)
Fast
& Easy Installation:
- Typical installations
take less than 30 minutes with the non-invasive, clamp-on
design using all stainless steel quick clamps
- No worries of flange
requirements, pressure ratings, process liquid interaction
issues, pipe vibrations, or upstreams transitions
- Heavy-duty, urethane-coated
cables are pre-terminated to facilitate a speedy installation
- Easy-to-read blue
backlit display allows for quick flowmeter set-up,
featuring EMCO's patented menu-driven EZ-Logic user
interface
Flexible:
- The same Sono-Trak
flowmeter can be installed on line sizes from 2 to
100 inches (50 to 2540 mm)
- Plug-and-play, "buffet-style"
input/output module options enable custom electronics
configuration and/or field retrofits/upgrades; choose
two from: pulse, analog, relay, RS-232, RS-485, BTU,
and data logger
- Standard, built-in
infrared capability for use with optional Windows®
software

Insertion
Vortex : V-Bar™
EMCO's model V-Bar is
an insertion vortex shedding flowmeter. The V-Bar provides
significant cost savings for line sizes from 3 to 80
inches without compromising performance. With high accuracy,
microprocessor-based electronics, no moving parts, and
rugged construction, EMCO's V-Bar gives our customers
the benefits of over 30 years of practical experience.
The V-Bar measures liquids or gases, including steam,
for pipe sizes from 3 to 80 inches.
Unparalleled
Performance:
- กำ 1.0% of rate accuracy
for liquids
- กำ 1.5% of rate accuracy
for gas and steam
- กำ 0.15% of rate repeatability
- Turndown ratio up
to 25:1
- FM and CSA approvals
- Calibration is traceable
to NIST
Significant
Cost Savings:
- One V-Bar flowmeter
is suitable for pipe sizes from 3 to 80 inches, so
there is one purchase price regardless of pipe size,
resulting in typical savings of up to 80% for 24"
lines and 50% for 10" lines compared to full-bore
flowmeters
- Installed quickly
and easily, saving as much as 70% in labor installation
costs when compared to full-bore flowmeters
- Hot tap compatible
installation allows removal without process shutdown;
this not only avoids disruption of a critical process,
but also reduces labor costs
- No moving parts reduces
maintenance costs
- Negligible pressure
drop, typically 10 times less than an orifice plate,
reduces energy and operating costs
- Optional integral
pressure and temperature measurement enables mass
flow measurement from one pipe tap (installation)
Ease
of Operation:
- Factory calibrated
and programmed for specific applications
- Start-up without
any additional calibration or programming
- The local display
alternates between flow rate and totalized flow
- Menu-driven EZ-Logic™
user interface enables local programming
- HART® protocol
communication

Turbine: Turbo-Bar™
EMCO's Turbo-Bar provides
significant cost savings for line sizes from 3 to 80
inches without compromising performance. With high accuracy,
wide turndown, and a unique low- mass rotor design without
welded joints, EMCO's Turbo-Bar gives our customers
the benefit of over 30 years of practical experience.
The Turbo-Bar measures liquids or gases, including steam,
for pipe sizes from 3 to 80 inches.
Unparalleled
Performance:
- กำ 1.0% of rate accuracy
- กำ 0.25% of rate repeatability
- Turndown ratio up
to 35:1
- FM approval
- Calibration is traceable
to NIST
Significant
Cost Savings:
- One Turbo-Bar flowmeter
is suitable for pipe sizes 3 to 80 in., so there is
one purchase price regardless of pipe size, resulting
in typical savings of up to 80% for 24 in. lines and
50% for 10 in. lines compared to full-bore flowmeters
- Installed quickly
and easily, saving as much as 70% in labor installation
costs when compared to full-bore flowmeters
- Hot tap compatible
installation allows removal without process shutdown;
this not only avoids disruption of a critical process,
but also reduces labor costs
- Optional bi-directional
flow measurement enables one Turbo-Bar flowmeter to
replace two uni-directional flowmeters
- Negligible pressure
drop, typically 10 times less than an orifice plate,
reduces energy and operating costs
- Unique low mass rotor
design is fabricated from one solid block of stainless
steel, with no welded joints, maximizing rotor longevity
and increasing sensitivity to changes in flow
- Optional integral
pressure and temperature measurement enables mass
flow measurement from one pipe tap (installation)
