PDFM-IV
Portable Doppler Flow Meter
- Strap-on Ultrasonic
Sensor
- Internal Battery and/or
AC Powered
- Fast, Easy Operation
- Built-in 3-Key Calibrator
- Programmable Totalizer
- 50,000 point Data
Logger
- RS232 Serial Output
and Windows software
- 4-20mA Output
- Adjustable Sensitivity
It's ideal for flow troubleshooting,
balancing and checking performance of permanent flow
meters. The new PDFM-IV is fast and easy to operate
¡V you can mount the sensor on the outside a pipe in
less than a minute. Use the built-in keypad and calibration
menu to set up the flowmeter for your application. The
PDFM-IV works on any liquid containing bubbles or solids
and is recommended for "difficult liquids"
like wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous
liquids and abrasives. Measures flow through most metal
and plastic pipes including PVC, ductile iron, carbon
steel and stainless steel.
The Greyline PDFM-IV
is AC/DC powered with a built-in battery and charger.
With its 4-20mA output you can even use the PDFM-IV
as a spare transmitter in critical applications. For
flow studies and troubleshooting use the built-in 50,000
point Data Logger. Retrieve data logs with 'Greyline
Logger' software ¡V included free with each PDFM-IV.
Connect the RS232 output directly to the serial port
on your PC or Laptop, or by dial-up connection through
modems and phone lines.

DFM-IV
Doppler Flow Meter
- Non-Contacting Ultrasonic
Sensor
- Large, 4-Digit LCD
Display
- 10-Digit Totalizer
- Isolated 4-20mA (1000
ohm)
- 3 Programmable Control
Relays
- Adjustable Sensitivity
- Intrinsically Safe
Sensor Option
- Built-in 3-Key Calibrator
- RFI Rejection Filters
Measure flow from outside
a pipe. The Greyline DFM-IV is ideal for "difficult
liquids" that would damage regular flow meters
- wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous liquids
and abrasives. There is no obstruction to flow and no
pressure drop. The standard, strap-on ultrasonic sensor
fits any pipe 1/2" (12.5 mm) Inside Diameter or
larger. The electronics/display enclosure can be mounted
nearby.
Use the isolated 4-20mA
to transmit flow to remote displays, recorders or controllers.
The 3 programmable relays can be used for flow control,
pump protection or flow proportionate pulse. Calibration
is easy with the built-in 3-key calibrator. Display
and totalize flow in your choice of engineering units
(gallons, liters etc.)
Sensor cable can be extended
up to 500 ft. (152 m) with no loss of signal. The DFM-IV
can be equipped with intrinsic safety barriers for sensor
installation in hazardous rated locations. Other options
include high temperature sensors, dual-head sensors
and a built-in 50,000 point Data Logger.

DFS-II
Doppler Flow Switch
- Non-Contacting Ultrasonic
Sensor
- Easy Calibration
- Accurate and Repeatable
- 5 amp DPDT Control
Relay
- Adjustable ON/OFF
Set-Points
- Adjustable Time Delay
- Relay Status LED
- Intrinsic Safety Option
Control Flow from outside
a pipe. Recommended for "difficult liquids"
including wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous
liquids and abrasives. The Greyline DFS-II is ideal
for pump protection or to activate flow/no-flow alarms.
The DFS-II strap-on Sensor
mounts on any pipe over 1/2" diameter without cutting
the pipe or shutting down flow. It installs in minutes
and requires no maintenance. Includes one 5 amp DPDT
control relay with 0-60 second adjustable time delay.
Bright LED indicators show relay status and signal strength.
Electronics are housed in a watertight enclosure and
Sensor cable is shielded and can be extended up to 500
ft. (152 m).

MFS1000
Microphone Flow Switch
- Low Cost
- For Liquids and Solids
- Non-Contacting Acoustic
Sensor
- 5 amp SPDT Control
Relay
- Sensitivity/Set-Point
Adjustment
- Power and Relay Status
Indication
- Watertight Enclosure
Use this low cost flow/no-flow
switch for liquids or solids. The acoustic Sensor mounts
on the outside of any pipe and listens for flow noise
(like a microphone). Recommended for liquids, pneumatically
conveyed or gravity flow solids. Adjust the Switch's
sensitivity for flow/no-flow control. Remote mounted
electronics amplify the flow noise signal and activate
the control relay at the adjustable flow noise level.
The Greyline MFS100 face
panel includes power and relay indicator LED's. The
Sensor includes armored, flexible cable for connection
to the electronics enclosure.
