Good Reasons for a Local Display

The display of the measuring result is often required directly at the flowmeter:

  • the flow measurement is installed on a machine and the data is maintained locally.
  • a remote computer is not available. The process data will be displayed at the point of measurement.
  • despite recording and display of the measurement value in the control room, information is required at the point of measurement.

The KRAL BEM 2U offers many mounting options close to the Volumeter. Sersor connection and power supply are carried out by max. 5 connection terminals. Once started, total and flowrate are display continuously.
   

Informative Display - Easy Operation

Local displays increase the process safety, because they give the reading directly at the point of measurement. The measured values must be able to be read without error.
In many displays, missing units or confusing characters can cause reading errors.

On a clear display, the KRAL BEM 2U shows the total and flowrate values. Each value is displayed with its corresponding unit. This eliminates errors. We also program the BEM 2U individually according to the customer's specifications. The password protected settings can be changed using only three keys.
   
The Fast way to the Measuring Result
   
1. Mount BEM 2U: panel, flowmeter, wall or pipe mounting
2. Connect sensor: max. 3 terminals
3. Connect power: stand-alone (battery included) or loop-powered (2 terminals)
4. Read display: 2 line display with total and flowrate
   

Multiple Mounting Options

At any location with several measuring devices, the danger of a measured value being incorrectly allocated exists. If a local display is required, it should be close to the point of measurement. In many cases, there is no convenient mounting location and the available space is limited

The KRAL BEM 2U is supplied with 2 mounting elements. This allows for lP65 control panel mounting or lP67 flowmeter, wall and pipe mounting.
   

Functional Signal Transmission

For further evaluation, display, and control the measured values can be transmitted to remote systems. The local display has this option.

BEM 2U signals with external power supply:

  • pulse output, used to transmit pulses scaled to a convenient measurement amount
  • analog output 4 to 20mA, scalable to a convenient flowrate range
